dr. thunder {the drink of champions}

i get sort of manic when i have a project like this. and i like it. i'm in my element one hundred and fifty percent. i've been a hermit holed up in my sorta craft room churning out ideas for these invitations. i'm like a mad scientist on the cusp of a secret grand formula. this font with that ribbon. no. this font and that ribbon. ah. none of the above. it looks like a tornado has come through here. imagine me arms flailing tossing paper shreds this way and that way. ribbon coming out of my ears. crushed pop cans everywhere. the occasionaly weird thought will pop into my head. like, "i should really sweep" or "i better rent august rush before everyone else gets it." i'll then have to do something with that thought before i go on. which is cause for sweeping at one in the morning and an unwatched dvd that is due... um... right now. we're going on almost 48 hours here. and i love it. type. print. crop. tie. scan. wait for response. we've yet to come up with the final decision so i'm asking for help. my husband would appriciate it if i got some help. he's tired of eating macaroni and my body is tired of consuming one gazillion calories of peanut butter m&m's/movie popcorn/cream cheese brownie and dr. thunder. oh. and lucas would like to play outside. yeah, and i should probably shower, too. so, what do you think??

congrats to these two kiddos. happily ever...

  1. Don't mix peanut M&Ms with Dr. Thunder; it will cause your lungs to rupture. Seriously.
I like the Jade and Kody one. In my experience a man's opinion in these kinds of thing is ALWAYS ignored so I won't be offended when you go another route.
Why am I the only freakish, non-female posting anyway? I'll buy a hamburger for any man who posts on this blog!
Maybe you could do some of the invitations in Spanish? A tip of the hat to our Latin heritage?
    Hmm.

  2. Lovely blog!

My vote is the ribbon-less one on the right. It suits my personal style and reminds me of Claudia Calhoun invite. Classy, classy.

  3. Oh, Dr. Thunder...please tell me when you run out and I'll go buy you another.

My personal favorites are the narrow two on the right. Simple, classy, and they have a young vibe.

    You are so talented!

  4. I like the skinny one with the string around it but I'm no expert in this kind of thing. I can't believe you keep telling me to bring my kids over! Over here I have no ambition so you keep on.

  7. i vote for the one jade and kody one with string.
Do you prefer Dr. Thunder to Dr. Pepper? In a taste test could you tell the difference?

  9. Linds you do such a fabulous job.. seriously. It brings me back to last year when you were making mine, I love them! My two favorites on here is the one on the upper right with the tiny string going round and round, or the one on the upper left I think it was, that has the rectangular look with the one smaller ribbon.

  12. Black bow on the bottom left and the Jade and Kody one. Those are my votes. She does have such a pretty name though, it would be a shame not to put Alexandra on the invitations. I am so impressed. Can you make mine 5 years late? Just for the photo album?

  16. I love what energy you bring thru the internet. Even though I don't know you personally, I think you inspire me greatly.

I really like the narrow versions of the wedding invitations. I like the string around the one, but the letters better on the bottom right. Fantastic job. They will be really pleased with about any of those examples. Let the thunder roll.

Side note: You can never have too much Dr. Thunder or Dr. Pepper for the matter.

  22. Well, it looks like I'm going to be out-voted, but I am in love with the rectangular one on the left with the striped bow. Actually, it's a shame they can't all go together...I just love the look of the mix of them! You do gorgeous work!

  23. I think they are all so nice... The skinny one with string around it is I think my favorite that is the one that pops out at me! Hope all goes well for them!

  25. How to choose? You are constantly amazing me. So much talent in one person. I like the one with the oval on it, but they are all adorable. I love the baby things you sewed too. You do need to sell on Etsy or somewhere!
